Pohang Plant covers an area of 790,800 square yards and has an annual production capacity of 3.0 million tons of crude steel and 2.9 million tons of rolled steel. This facility is specialized in its work, producing only wide flange beams and is Korea’s first UIC60 for express trains. The facility also makes the biggest and best cast rolls in the country, currently holding about 80 percent of the market share in these products.
